We are located in Federal Way and specialize in providing care to seniors with dementia, Alzheimer’s or other illnesses whose families are interested in finding a loving home for their senior. We also specialize in hospice care, end of life care and respite care.

We have a welcoming environment as you enter Joystan. Residents and families are encouraged to spend time visiting and relaxing in the living room and dining areas. Birthdays, holidays and special occasions may be celebrated in our dining, living and outdoor areas by families with their senior.

A large screen TV is available in our cozy living room, surrounded by plush sofas and chairs to ensure comfort for our residents and their families and friends.

We take great care to provide healthy meals throughout the day. Our organic garden is often a source of food for our well-cared for seniors.

Our residents’ families are welcome to create a relaxing atmosphere in the bedroom with selected belongings, memorabilia, photographs and art work, enhancing the connection to feeling right at home at Joystan.

There are a variety of bedrooms of varying sizes and layouts, each with sun and daylight streaming through the windows with options for window coverings as desired. Moving in is a breeze and bringing your own belongings is all part of establishing a sense of comfort.

Extra storage space in each bedroom is available to every resident.

We are honored to prepare scrumptious meals for our seniors while incorporating any special dietary requirements and preferences

A good kitchen starts with caregivers who enjoy cooking. We source healthy ingredients in preparation of meals and snacks for our seniors.

Beds, side-tables and lamps are just a few items that our seniors may be integrated into their bedroom with their belongs as desired.

Offering choices to families to select the bedroom that will work best for their senior is important, depending on layout, pricing and availability, selecting the best private bedroom for your Mom or Dad is an important decision.

Wheelchair accessible bathrooms are available to our residents and showers are a breeze as the space is designed for ADA use. Specialized equipment has been installed throughout the bathrooms.

When available, this room features a courtyard and garden view. It is a private setting in the heart of the home with plenty of light and storage space.

Situated with a view of our garden, the covered outdoor patio provides a place for our residents and families to engage in a relaxing setting.

Whether our seniors desire fresh air or want a space to be with family or friends conducive to most Pacific Northwest weather conditions, our courtyard features plenty of seating and accommodates wheelchairs. If having a barbecue is your family’s plan, please let us know and we will make arrangements to enhance your experience outdoors.
